Perry Pierce should probably imply Pokey Pierce/Royal Pin

But then it shouldn’t be blue, right? Or we could consider Perry a completely different character and remove the Royal Pin and Pokey Pierce tags from his images

Good point, looking into it the Bonabelle Bonette tag (the Canterlot variant of Bon Bon) is also green so yes Perry Pierce should imply Pokey Pierce/Royal Pin

(Also while we are speaking of Pokey Pierce/Royal Pin, shouldn’t Royal Pin be made the tag namesake with Pokey Pierce being the alias considering Royal Pin is his official name whereas Pokey Pierce is entirely fan-made? Then again I know how attached people get to these names, just that his name always catches me up when I’m looking for him.)

Have there ever been discussions about specially coloured tags for characters from other intellectual properties who have appeared in official crossover material?

None; it’s a broad question because the precedent has been set.

I do remember this one, back when a few Transformers characters were randomly blue-tagged (obviously, this was reverted later).

should we have Paper Clip (G5) be merged to Feather Clips as he’s recently been named Feather Clips?

It ends up there’s two different G1 ponies both named Twinkler.
1st Twinkler (Wiki)
2nd Twinkler (Wiki) [Doesn’t have a proper tag yet.]
How would the second Twinkler be tagged? Right now I’m simply tagging her as “Twinkler (GSS)” [GSS standing for glittery Sweetheart Sister, the series she’s from.]
I’m thinking if a duplicate name tag isn’t possible, she could be tagged as “Moonshimmer (G1)”, as Moonshimmer is her UK name.
