It’s a bit harder than just “Good. Bad. Don’t care.” though. For a lot of people this show means a lot to them. It can be hard to watch something you care about go in a direction you don’t like, or to feel like it isn’t living up to it’s potential. I think people should be respectful with their opinions and feelings, I don’t think they should just stop having them.

But, I will never know how would they fix the show if they didn’t like any season… Just like a few pages ago I expressed how would I fix the show.

That’s a gross exaggeration.

And because you used the word garbage? Not even.

You’re missing the real point that you don’t even see how your own word choices can evoke certain responses from people. “Shit”, “garbage”, “terrible” and words of those caliber will clearly evoke negative responses. You can say “I don’t like it” or “I didn’t prefer this” and very few people will have an actual problem with what you say.

I’m really sick of some people being entitled jerks about the finale and doing stupid stuff like insulting other fans or even harassing the writers because they don’t like how the ending went.

I’m also pretty tired of being lumped in with them anytime I mention my own disappointment with the finale. It feels like there’s also people who think simply not liking the episode is somehow an insult in itself. It’s okay to be happy, it’s also okay to not be happy, what really matters is how you react to those feelings.

Okay you can stop now. You are not the moral highground, you could have worded your initial post better, and some responses could have also been better. Mistakes were made on both sides, agree to disagree now. Doesn’t matter who started it or whatever.

No way a community as large as this only has ten registered users who dislike the finale. If this is a plausible thing to even think, then there’s a culture of shaming the “haters” to just shut up.

Thank you! This culture is very real, and it’s aided and abetted by site staff. I’ve already seen dozens of posts like yours deleted for “violating Rule #0” with no further explanation. Censorship is the tool they use to craft the preferred narrative.

Obviously you’re not going to be convinced that your assessment of the situation is in the wrong, given that you are entrenched in your position as a janny, so I understand that we are at an impasse at this point.

What’s my endgame for having a spontaneous three-hour-off-and-on argument over a nothingburger such as the term “garbage” describing S8&9 if I cannot realistically convert anyone?

Probably just doing my part to, for lack of a less dramatic term, rally those who have had experiences such as mine to not bow to the culture (and not just on Derpibooru) described by Background Pony 52DD.

In any case I’ve already be archived this in case any of this gets deleted and am archiving again to save this post. Derpibooru has a negative reputation for a reason.
