Considering how much the Mane Six are shipped with each other, as well as the Background Mane Six sometimes has Doctor Whooves replaced with Carrot Top to keep it “pure” or something, I think there being no males would only increase the amount of shipping.

Since I’m more of a straight shipper, I always felt there was a limit to the possibilities I could have with this. It’s not like Sonic where there so many possibilities for pairings, you don’t even know where to start.

Often times, like with my otp, I just scoop up a background pony that may or may not have some fanon to work with and just make them into an OC for shipping purposes. It may sound weirdly “throw away” and random. But I got super attached to Rainbow Dash x Dumbbell as a ship.
