Another news article, this time attempting to be more neutral:

The Atlantic article avoids mentioning the half-million pornographic images the site hosts, because doing so reveals that the community’s widespread opposition to content moderation on their imageboard is about protecting sexually explicit content rather than creating a space for hateful politics to flourish, and it further reveals that the Bronies are 500 times more interested in having sex with My Little Pony characters than they are in spreading racist pony memes.

What I suggest is to just show more emphasis on who makes the pictures. If someone wants to complain, let them know clear who to complain to.

We have found a couple people pretending to be on both sides of the argument in here. Alternatively promoting then attacking both people in this thread and the thread itself. They weren’t just doing it in here - they were bouncing back and forth between different threads promoting and attacking each side. Drama was their goal, and they seem to be fairly good at creating it.

I think we’ve found most of them and they are permanently banned from the site, but I’ll keep an eye on this thread for awhile in case they come back, and will continue to look through the thread to see if some of the other more rule-breaking comments in here were by the same people on different IPs.
 
In the meantime, if you suspect any other posts (either in this thread or elsewhere on the site) of being ‘false flag’ or sockpuppeting, please report them.
