Yeah, Jack Thompson’s got quite the “legacy.”

Strangely, he even considered “The Sims 2” as an “inaproproate game” he targeted, as well. Aside from a few brief suggestive/censored things, the game is honestly tame.

Beat me to the punch in that regard (in my defense, I sleep in way too much).

But yeah, that sums up what I was getting at. There’s also the whole “don’t go criticizing the CCP (Chinese Communist Party)” guideline that was right there alongside the feminism one, which was equally as baffling and gross (and which the supposedly “anti-censorship” alt-right grifters were all too happy to oblige by). So yeah, no thanks. I’ll stick with DMC in that regard.

Edit: As for the lack of reviews on the Lolipop Chainsaw remaster, the publisher pulled a Sonic Boom here and refused to send out any review copies for the game, so anyone who’d want to review it would’ve had to go grab a copy when it came out on launch day. And I’d assume they’d refrain from doing so once they heard how buggy it was.

I think there’s bigger problems in gaming then Thompson. Name a company that listen to him, my guess you won’t even need one finger. Now look at games like Concord, Dustborn and a dozen other games from that launch broken, bugged, patched to hell n’ back and who favors these games.

Honestly; I don’t really see that much of a different between Him and the so-called people that “love” video games but it needs to just and “Mature” to the point they become $70 walking sims with some action set pieces that even still should just play themselves.

Eh, the thing is, those games were made by people who didn’t understand gaming or the industry. They don’t love gaming much like Thompson.

And gaming is arguably getting a little better, at least for PC, indie, and Nintendo gamers. Hopefully Sony and Microsoft pick up the slack soon.

I remember a few years ago Nintendo released Switch Sports and Mario Strikers unfinished, (remember Sports had an accessory requiring an update to use it?) and got flack/backlash for it, but they learned their lesson, and started making games fuller afterwards.
So there’s hope for other companies too.

this tbh. on the whole black son wokong thing I’ll freely admit I have pretty strident anti CCP bias. seeing them simping for that game was bewildering especially since nine times these people are consistently anti socalist.

If a game is great, sometimes people don’t care about the politics involved.

Also, as far as I know, the game wasn’t funded by the Chinese government, or CCP. (Unlike that recent controversial game which was funded by a Government, that I can’t think of the name of.)

That’s the one retro game I can’t beat. And I’ve beaten almost every Megaman and Castlevania game, as well as Super Mario Lost Levels with over 20 lives left. (Without using the infinate 1up tricks.)

Recently I bought Cities: Skylines.

Hasn’t played it yet but I wonder if Sim City is similar.

Is it good to get similar city-themes simulators?

I like to think that Scout has hidden air thrusters in his shoes that allow him to double jump.

the dlc prices on that game is insane. that said if you’re in the market for a good city builder I recommend theotown.
