Yeah, I can’t support Nintendo on this one.

Technically speaking they should actually lash out at Game Freak for the mishandling of Pokemon, I don’t think Nintendo would sue Palworld if weren’t because Pokemon is not really doing ok right now between the glitched Scarlet and Violet and the controversies surrounding his mobile games, I heard their MOBA was quite pay to win. And since Palword appeared just in time Pokemon is not at his best they seem scared of it.

In my personal experience, competitors and even invaders are less of a threat if your own land is secure and prepared, but since Pokemon is catching flack then Nintendo is getting rather overprotective from the wrong angle.

I realize I’m nearing the end of Nuka-World’s story. Or at least the locations. I’m down to just the Safari and Galactic locations left.

doing principled things is hard tbh I don’t wanna boycott metroid 4 especially considering sylux was in the preview trailer. their one of the best parts of metroid hunters and an overall underappreciated badass. but I have an obligation to do so. what nintendo is doing is outrageous and really needs to have consequences because if we don’t nip this in the bud other even less reputable AAAA companies will start getting ideas.

Well I’ll still be buying it day 1, I don’t want the series to die. At the end of the day Nintendo is going to keep doing this and people will keep supporting them. People say they’ll boycott companies but it’s always pointless because it doesn’t make a dent.

In worlds where Zombies aren’t undead and are still technically living, how the hell are some places on earth still littered with them 10 to 20 years in the future after an outbreak?

Areas they occupy by that point would be low on fresh humans to feed such large numbers and they don’t ever partake in cannibalism so…

I mean I know there’s cases where eventually they mutate into a special infected/advanced form that can go long ass periods without eating and hibernate for god knows how long but those are usually not too large in number compared to common Zombies.

Figured I put my two cents in, could also be a unpopular opinion.

While I expected Nintendo suing Pocketpair to happen, I doubt this will affect Microsoft or Sony (in relation to the unusual one, mainly cause if that was true, Disney would be a film monopoly, and likely purchase Nintendo).
However, considering how the designs of the pals look similar to pokemon (not sure if intentional) + the fact that you catch pals in a sphere (similar to a pokeball)… Yeah, that might be a problem for pocketpair.

I honestly think they should’ve considered being more original, like Digimon.

Even then though, you can’t seriously expect to make a monster catching game & not get compared to pokemon (especially with spheres).
And pocketpair learned the hard way.
