I myself have been put in this position as the one left winger and most of the time when I dismantle their arguments and cite my sources, they devolve into buzzwords, dismissive unproductive comments and saying things like, “muh socialism” and “muh this” and “muh that”.

I don’t approve of everything Trump has done regarding the pandemic, especially when it comes to masks, so you’re correct about that. I don’t see how he somehow made the protests worse, though. Trump didn’t go out there and kneel on George Floyd.
