The Digimon reboot is actually pretty good so far.  
I’m not sure about what’s to come,but this would have been intresting whether or not it featured the original characters.

I have literally no interest in the Adventure 1 cast.
 
I hate how nostalgia always favors the first thing and nothing else.

Yeah it’s weird… I didn’t want a reboot of the original. They had their story,it finished in season 2, continued with those godawful Tri movies,and even alongside this reboot had another movie to explain away tri’s nonsense.  
It being a reboot makes it intresting on a certain level,like I know where it’s going,but not quite. I’m looking forward to seeing how Etemon will be handled,and Puppetmon,or will they be left out entirely?  
If it gets an English dub I hope Toei doesn’t make it’s own theme again like with Tri,jeez that was so bad I watched all of Tri with the broken subs…

When people want a reboot, they dont necessarily mean a remake.

Well,Digimon has had five reboots,Tamers,Frontiers,Data Squad/Savers,Xros Wars/Fusion,and Universe:Appmon.  
In a way I’m surprised it took them this long.

Those weren’t reboots, though. They were just stories in different universes. If they count as reboots, than 01 is just a reboot of the mangas.

No I get your point if it doesn’t have those characters in it it’s not a reboot (also if I don’t understand maybe actually try explain it).  
I define a reboot as something that relaunches something under the name of the brand with elements of the old thing but it doesn’t necessarily have to have the same characters in it.

It doesn’t have any of the Adventure characters in it, and the digital world in Tamers (the first “reboot”) was made by humans where Adventure had them two universes that were next to reach other. Nothing about it is a reboot other than it having digimon in it. That’s my point. Doesn’t help that each one is considered a season (Adventures was season 1, Adventures 02 was season 2, Tamers was season 3, Frontier season 4, ect.), and while Tri is among the listed, the reboot isn’t, solidifying that the other seasons aren’t reboots.
 
Speaking of Digimon seasons, I finished 02 and saw the infamous ending.

So, I might be participating in NaNoWriMo this November.

Yeah I know that’s your point I said that if it doesn’t have the same characters it’s not a reboot.  
I think that’s a limiting way of thinking of it I just personally view anything that starts over under the franchise’s name even if it uses different characters and reworked concepts.  
It’s as if you’re not trying to understand my point.
