Decided to get another profile done before the main one I had planned for Christmas in a few days.
There’s not much to say for this one, given it’s been a week or two at most since the last one, and everything’s been more-or-less the same between then and now.
With that said and done, I had a lot of fun making this, and I hope you all have a wonderful day.
During the elder days, shortly after the first number of Arexians began appearing across Ingracia, there existed a mere sixteen-strong group of travelling spell-swords, who had mastery over each of their respective elemental affinities, the likes of which have rarely been seen before, or even since.
Their names are often spoken of and regarded highly in myth and legend, as in history, said to have been capable of bending the laws of magic to their wills as if it were as simple as breathing. Similarly, their powers are said to be theoretically divine brought upon by the Gri-Mir and the Gods in an attempt to put an end to the existential threat they posed.
Such a theory is only half-true, however as each of the Arexians to be given their abilities were done so by the Dragon-Kings of their respective affinity, said Kings being the children of the Dragon-God of thaumaturgy, and one of Iridia’s familiars. Furthermore each affinity can easily be used in conjunction with another, with a far greater effect and result taking place, the more are used in tandem.
The most notable event is when six are used together in unison, forming a solid prison of crystallized mana, the likes of which is entirely unique and unable to be copied or replicated in any way. The use of six or more affinities is often considered by many to be ‘Megaspell territory’ and something only the highest calibre of mages and scholars are said to be capable of, even in the slightest.
being the descendant of one of the legendary spell-swords, referred to simply as ‘Dragon Cradles’, Ceres is named in honour of the Dragon who gifted her ancestor their arcane might and prowess, and possesses all the potential of her predecessors, as well as the third eye they are often gifted with.
growing up in one of Cartuga’s dune-bound cities, Ceres has repeatedly shown to have a near-insatiable curiosity and thirst for knowledge, more-so regarding her family’s history and the magic she wields, and has similarly gone to great lengths to further her understanding of both as best as she is capable of.
Among the first things she came to understand during her tutelage under the city’s best scholars, was regarding the title bequeathed to her, the others, and their respective predecessors. The title ‘Dragon Cradle’ was first coined as a nod to the namesake spell-swords having a magic core akin to that of an actual Dragon’s, their actual physiology and appearance, notwithstanding, and their ability to nurture it as though it were the real thing, using their own mana as well as other, external sources of it to help further bolster or empower it.
In exchange for helping it develop, a Dragon Cradle’s similarly-natured core allows its wielder to more easily harness and mould their respective mana into all manners of different spells, in Ceres’ case specifically, like forming clay on a potter’s wheel, or even like reshaping metal or glass. Though Ceres is one of the youngest Dragon Cradles of her generation, there has been very little to no doubt in the minds of her family, friends and elders that she has more than enough potential and capability to be more than a match for any of her would-be companions, should the need arise.
By herself, Ceres is known to be rather quiet, calm and considerate individual, with a heart matched only by the golden sands which blanket a vast amount of Cartuga’s total area space, a willingness to always improve herself and do better, and to learn as much as she can about the world around her, its history, the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of both, as well as its people, human, Arexian or otherwise.
Among her close group of friends are the few dozen familiars she has, one of which is an Aso-Takea, which she affectionately named Samekichi after first contracting with it during her earlier years in studying magic. Aside from being her familiar, Samekichi is usually called upon to serve as a sort of travelling companion during Ceres’s ventures through the dunes and ruins surrounding her home, or as a training partner when either of them needs to further their abilities
The third eye the Earth Dragon Cradles inherit from their lineage, and are almost world-renowned for are said to grant abilities that are psychometrical in their nature, granting the ability to view an object or another person’s ‘history’ from simple physical contact. one of their other skillets is a kind of ‘sixth sense’ that grants the caster the ability to detect sources of mana around them, including the almost innumerable Dragon Veins or ley-lines residing within the earth itself, and the vast, interconnected web of thaumic energy which is evenly spread across the horizon.
Among the many temples and buildings in the desert cities Cartuga is known for, one of the former in Ceres’ home has a well-known mural spread across the back wall inside, one depicting a legendary-looking draconic figure, encircled by sixteen others, each one bequeathing an orb-shaped construct to a humanoid-looking figure, the latter depicting the first Dragon Cradles that were originally given their namesake thaumaturgy.
It is simply known as ‘Hikaki Ika Manaaki’, and sits juxtaposed on either side by continuations of the Dragon Cradles’ history, the mural itself extending around the walls and ceiling inside the temple, with great emphasis on Ceres’ earth-inclined ancestors. Other similar cathedrals and temples across Ingracia have similar depictions and portrayals, some in visual format, some in written, and others in both. Processions in such places are often in done in reverence of and gratitude to the Gods, and the Dragons whose power is rumoured to be handed down from them, and attendance numbers are usually in the thousands in any given city.
Being the Dragon Cradle of Earth, Ceres was granted a rank and status equivalent to a Saint or Noble, with some more leeway given to her and those closest to her, such as less restricted access to the local archives. Though she is often said to be incredibly happy and at peace with her life in Melkir, Dragon Cradle or no, Ceres has made mention to her familiars, friends and family that she hopes she might one day be able to venture out and wander across Ingracia in its entirety, with the end goal of returning home after having explored, seen and done as much as is possible for her.
Stay Outta the sun!~
A few more references for this one:
The sixteen elements, six of which being used to make an unbreakable seal is a callback to Gen 1 Bionicle, as is Ceres’ psychometric abilities, more specifically the combination of any six elements, provided light and shadow aren’t somehow involved, and the latter being Toa Helryx’s mask ability.
The name ‘Samekichi’ is a direct reference to the game Wadanohara, and is one of the main character’s familiars, the familiar in question of course being a shark.
Aso-Takea is Matoric for ‘sand-shark’ and ‘Hikaki Ika Manaaki’ translates from the same language as Dragon God’s Blessing’.
The Dragon Cradle aspect, by itself, was inspired almost entirely by a series of images of a dragon-powered character i found on Pixiv, after putting some of the text on the older images through a translator.

I decided to go back and rework an older profile from a few years ago for this year’s Christmas event, and merge all three parts into one mid-process.
The steam Christmas sale is in full-swing, and I’ve got a bunch of new games that I’m in the process of trying out, as well as slightly older one I haven’t given much time or thought into
With all that said and done, i had a lot of fun writing this, and I hope you all have a wonderful day/Christmas/holiday.
Arguably one of the more enigmatic deities that make up Ingracia’s pantheons, of the few things known regarding Agua are the multitude of different forms she has -only a scant few of which she actually reveals or uses for all to see. The first is assumed or taken when creating life anew, or adding to Lokiry’s numerous marvels and events, the second is for its polar opposite, doubling as an embodiment of finality and closure, while her third and final likeness is a merger of both, to a certain extent.
The first of the three, ‘Mahri Manaaki’ is the most well-known among Agua’s numerous visages, and often seems to comprise, or likewise be comprised of a fair portion, if not most of exactly who Agua is, or indeed appears seems to be, both as an individual, and as one of Ingracia’s oldest Gods.
With Mahri Manaaki, Agua is often spoken of as being kind, warm-hearted, patient, generous and understanding beyond mortal measure, though at times inquisitive and inquisitive, similarly known to be quite notably stubborn, but possessing a heart that could easily outshine diamonds. In her first form, Agua’s willingness and drive to ensure the safety, wellbeing and happiness of those residing in Lokiry’s borders is said to be without end, and without any kind of filter or rancour.
One of her court mages, Vhisotu, speculated that, given her being one of Ingracia’s founding deities, Agua can be thought of as a physical embodiment of the mother sea itself, and her dedication, love and care for her subjects being a sort of manifestation of its emotional aspects, Conversely, it is readily apparent to anyone willing to spend more than a moment in the underwater kingdom, that just as she loves her subjects and those who openly call Lokiry home, she is cherished and adored by them in-kind, the many temples, shrines and other equally-sacred landmarks commonly adorned with many gifts and offerings.
Additionally, there are many events which take place throughout the year, which pay tribute to and give thanks for her perpetual, seemingly endless work and efforts to keep her realm safe and to her benevolent temperament.
Such celebrations are known to commonly last for days at a time, if not weeks, and usually involve gift-giving b-e it between her subjects or to the aforementioned shrines and such- as well as festivals wishing her well and offering a prayer of sorts, that the denizens of each of the cities in her dominion may continue to rely on her as they have for countless generations.
Anyone is welcome –encouraged, even, to partake part and join in the festivities of these events, even after spending a hours in any of the cities under Agua’s dominion Those who journey there for each of them often regale listeners with tales of food, -often seafood-related, and beverage -usually some kind of Wine or Rum- and how it they are some of, if not the greatest delicacies they’ve ever had the joy of being able to experience, and perhaps in all of Ingracia’s notably vast, unfathomably diverse cuisine.
Similarly, tales are known to be spoken of, regarding the side-effects of the varying drinks handed out during each of the numerous feasts or festivals, or more specifically, the lack thereof, as even after endlessly gorging oneself on whatever happens to be available, anyone who becomes involved in the celebration will find themselves waking the following day with a crystal-clear mind and an equally vivid memory of the events which transpired all throughout.
Agua’s combined generosity and wisdom are one of the main reasons behind the steadily-increasing number of visitors who arrive in Lokiry almost every week or so to openly seek out her counsel. Another of her more widely-known aspects is her ability as the Goddess of the world’s oceans to forge aquatic-based life, seemingly of any kind, using a multi-layered Spellframe in order to cast it.
Another of the Oceanic primordial’s well-known factors is her nigh-immortality. Due to her position as the guardian deity of Ingracia’s oceans, ponds, lakes, rivers, and all life therein, each of their existences are linked. Subsequently provided there is at least some form of ocean remaining, she will continue to guard it with every fibre of her being.
Changing things here and there~
Agua’s 2nd form is much different –and her third is more so than either of its predecessor’s. The oddly-dubbed ‘Mahri Mora’ is a little more outgoing, but at the cost of having vastly increased thaumic and physical prowess when in combat, her agility and dexterity in particular gaining an incredible boost boost. Yet another of Agua’s spells while using Ocean’s Blessing is to use the skillsets, thaumaturgy and the like of the Arexians which thrive in or around Ingracia’s oceans as her own.
Mahri Mora is also capable of splitting herself into an as-of-yet unknown number of copies or duplicates, each of which acts like an extension of the original, and can be sent to any region on Ingracia to keep its waters safe. While using the aforementioned form, Agua can be found either in her citadel helping keep her royal guard at their utmost level of capability, or venturing through one or more of the cities within Lokiry’s borders, much to the elation of her many subjects.
Although there are a small number who are apprehensive of approaching her when she is on one of her tours around the cities she rules over, those who are capable of doing so are met by an impossibly old, equally devoted, seemingly altruistic being who is concerned with the lives, safety and wellbeing of her subjects as well as Lokiry as a whole.
Those who have been able to converse with her in such a form have found that many of her positive qualities have seemingly been amplified five or even tenfold- namely her open, warm-hearted nature regarding Lokiry’s denizens- both permanent and temporary alike. Mahri Mora has a few other benefits which are put into place alongside the rest of Agua’s skillset, mainly her defensive abilities, and she is capable of using her near-mastery of hydromancy and aeromancy to create all varieties of barriers, shields, and even ramparts to protect the cities in her jurisdiction as well as those that reside within.
Agua’s 3rd and somewhat arguably strangest form, ‘Rode gāki’ has always been rather more enigmatic than either of its predecessors –always having been regarded and thought of as possessing more intrigue and mystery in terms of its unexpectedly different physique and visage, far more-so when compared to ‘Mahri Manaaki’ or ‘Mahri Mora’, her now far more human-like appearance making up the bulk of the changes to her physique.
All that can be said about Agua is that, with each change, or reversion to an earlier form, her appearance can change just as fluidly or drastically as her appearance does, in ‘Mahri Manaaki’ she is cautious and sceptical but kind, has beyond human-levels of patience, and is at ease, both with herself, her surroundings and, it is thought, much of the world around her.
Mahri Mora shares a small number of parallels with its predecessor, more specifically her patience, kindness and, usually, her generosity –provided she is not brought to the point of anger, which in itself has yet to be actually witnessed or recorded anywhere on modern-day Ingracia.
Mora’s patience, kindness and near-altruism are almost peerless, save for its power and its grace when traversing the watery depths surrounding Lokiry, be it near or far. The spells and attacks she utilizes mid-combat have to be personally seen to be believed, and her adept capability with forms of magic such as Hydromancy and the slightly scarcer Aeromancy or Cryomancy are almost second-to-none.
Dweller in the Deep~
Last but certainly not least ‘Rode Gāki’ is perhaps the most interesting of the three already listed, as it seems Agua’s personality and temperament shift almost entirely from its counterparts. No longer the slightly reserved - even introverted sort of primordial which she appears to be in her prior countenances, Rode Gāki’s demeanour is one of a far more outgoing and regal sort. If one were to become close to her, or if a large celebration or festival were to occur, she may take on this form and openly join the festivities taking place without even a moment’s reservation or indecision.
The main festival that takes place annually on what may be considered new Year’s in other, above-ground locations is the world-renowned Festival of Light, in which Agua her guards, subjects and whoever else is within her kingdom’s borders may take place in. The festival in question is one that celebrates the creation of the world’s oceans, and by extension, Ingracia as a whole- one in which Agua borrows the life-giving powers of her Mahri Manaaki form and shows on full display to everyone present, often naming a few of her creations in honour of those who are either closest to her, or to those who request as much.
The only other way that is known to potentially bring her to use her third and final appearance is to bring about an event that forces it to occur, be it by angering her above the usage of ‘Mahri Mora or by creating a great enough risk of harm to a large enough number of her subjects.
Doing so, however, is highly recommended against, as Agua’s raw power while using Rode Gāki – both physical and thaumaturgic, skyrocket to nearly incalculable heights, and should the need arise, Agua possesses a vast array of spells, abilities and such to guarantee who or whatever is capable of provoking such a response a quick and yet more than likely painful end.
Patron Goddess of the seas~
Mahri is Matoric for ‘ocean’ ‘Mora’ is patience, Manaaki’ is ‘blessing’ and ‘Rode Gāki translates literally into English as ‘True Ocean Ruler’
