Its even more odd with studio doing mostly CGDCT Moe adapting it

I finally finished the Soul Society Arc of Bleach.

Kinda hard to sum up all my thoughts surrounding this great arc, so all I’ll say is that it was a whole lot of fun.

Billy Kametz has unfortunately passed away.

I am actually okay with it. Gonna be interesting.

I just had a memory unlocked: roughly late 1999, Fox Kids aired a commercial for “Digimon: Digital Monsters”, where at the time the Digidestined returned to the real world to find the eighth child, and the commercial asks who it could possibly be (spoiler: it’s Kari, Tai’s little sister).

Next week’s episode of Kaguya-sama is an hour long.

That’s always a good sign.

It’s year 2022 and I’m still waiting for the Season 2 of Monster Musume.

The latest chapters have been just spinning the wheels but there’s plenty of good content in-between for a good S2.

Does Monster Musume actually have a plot? It’s slice-of-life AND harem, two genres that are well-known to be pretty light on story.

It has a surprisingly decent if not good one.

Like the central conceit is that monster people are real and can’t be kept secret no longer. So the government is running a test exchange program to see if coexistence is possible, and the protagonist ends up as a guinea pig for this program. On top of the typical harem antics the story actually goes pretty deep into exploring the needs of sapient creatures with completely different bodies than humans would have in society on a level I think only A Centaur’s Life does, as well as broaching the expecting topics of racism from this attempt at integration.

Agree, the story is decent and fun at times. For me, the best aspect is how the auther manages to make humor on monster girls’ biology - taking elements of their animal or supernatural elements and uplying them in everyday situations.

So it is kind of sad that there is no anime continuation, considering there are still fans to this day.
