I just realized something. When it comes to robots sex bots won’t just come at a later date or fifty years down the line. The reason being is robotics wise the best way of simulating how the human body moves and contorts would be to have a robotic skeletal structure similar in shape to a human’s with fake muscles attached to it with fake skin on top.
What I mean by this is sex bots will probably be one of the first uses for human like robots instead of coming later; the reason being is that the first 100% human like robot that can fully function like a human in a environment would probably have a metallic skeleton in the same shape of a human. That would mean that jailbreaking your android to add a fake sex organ would be easy to do.
First week of fully realistic human like robots, “Introducing the first 100% realistic human like robot. It’s so human like you won’t be able to tell the difference!”
Within that same week by another company, “Why have a boring old human like robot when you can visit our store today to jailbreak your android into a sex bot. We just attach this internal component to the pelvis coupler and you’re good to go”
Company that made the robots, “What have we unleashed upon the world?”

We already have the technology when you think about it. Building it wouldn’t be the hard part cause we already have linear motors that function like muscles and contract; programming it would be the pain in the ass.

Well obviously. I didn’t say it would be easy. A android who has a structure that mimics a human skeleton and mimics the human muscle system would burn through grants like no tomorrow on programming alone.
Building the physical shell would be the easy part; programming it to move accurately and realistically would take thousands of programmers and take years.
It takes a neural network that is more powerful than the combined computing power of all computers in existence to move the human body, programming a computer to even mimic that is one hell of a challenge.
Upside:
Realistic androids are doable mechanically.
Downside:
Programming it would be a (beep) (beep) mother of (beep) on a sunday (beep) while walking on the beach and a (beep) (beep) (beep) fucking nightmare; meaning we probably won’t see them for one or two decades.

There’s a couple of shortcuts, like using feedback circuits and tracing motion data from people who are going at it. Admittedly it’s still gonna be a hell to debug the code.

I’m still somewhat baffled by the idea of it needing fancy programming. Its a sex bot. All it needs to be is fuckable. Sapient robotic companions can take however long they take, most people aren’t looking for a robot girlfriend, though. They just want a robot fuckbuddy.
