Metallica Load and ReLoad aren’t bad albums, in fact I’d argue they’re great.

While not my faves, I too think they were pretty good & get way too much shit than they deserve. Tho I think Reload is the better one out of the 2.

St Anger was a lot weaker, but even still I don’t think it’s bad. Just different.

Their early albums, particularly RtL, Puppets, Justice and Black Album are still their best though.

Of course you don’t, I think I’m one of the 5 people in the world who doesn’t like that song. Even the songs from St. Anger, which I think can be overhated at times are better.

Breath of the Wild is better than Tears of the Kingdom

It shares the same feelings I have with Mario Galaxy 1, Mega Man Legends 1, and Doom 2016. While the sequels may do a lot of things better, there’s a magic in those first games that the sequels lose imo

Doom 2016 is hard to play after everything Eternal did.

Can’t say about the other games, but I have very strong negative feelings towards Mario Galaxy 2. I hated it so much that it ended up being the last nail on the coffin for WII to me. SMG2 promised so much, but ended up being the same. I like SMG because of its new mechanics, but it also felt like you were actually in space. But it has its notorious faults, mainly its low difficulty, but it made up for it for what it added to the franchise. SMG2 hardly improved its difficulty. A very easy game to an easy game it’s still an easy game. Felt like a New Super Mario Bros with a SMG skin. Let’s not speak about the final boss.

At least BOTW is a near perfect game, so a near perfect game taken to a direct sequel is always bound to be a treat. Not to mention TOTK introduced new mechanics that gives it its own identity and charm, but I still think I got more out of BOTW. Still, excellent if you prefer TOTK, I’m willing to make a civilized debate with it. Unlike SMG2

That’s pretty harsh in my opinion

I dislike furniture made of wood.

The reason is simple, I’ve been dealing with termites so many times I’d rather use metallic furniture instead.

Every current-gen game needs to launch at a somewhat stable 60fps (or at least have a toggle for it). Full stop.

We’re long past the days of games needing to stick to 30 due to technical limitations, AND we’ve long since hit the graphical ceiling. I don’t give a flying fuck if I can see the pores on a character’s face. I don’t even care if the game can hit a 4K resolution. I just want the game to run in a way that feels smooth and responsive.

Quite frankly, the fact that there are actual PS5/Xbox Series X|S games that still run at a locked 30fps (without a toggle, mind you) is just fucking pathetic.

They do, but that’s more the result of gaming industry being in an extremely rough spot right now. When products are being rushed out, and teams are constantly losing man power due to the greedy whims of executives, it’s no surprise that the devs have no time to properly optimize their games. I just wish they prioritized performance over fidelity if given the choice.

Man, you’d be surprised just how many of them are actually okay with games hitting a substandard 30fps on PS5, or shelling out 700 bucks for the Pro if it means they can see the goddamn dimples on someone’s face.

Gamers have low standards. If a game isn’t at least 60fps on pc I am not buying it.

While I hate the bastardization of great properties like Lord of the Rings or Halo, I think the argument they should be faithful for the sake of the subjective whims of fans is the wrong reason.

You should be faithful only for the sake of the source material. I don’t care what a cosplayer fan who asks why the eagles didn’t fly to Mordor has to say. I care about the integrity of the story.

It also gives the other side an oppurtunity to say being faithful is just for a group of fans. It’s not about us, its about the story.

Pretty sure most people want the stories to be faithful to be consistent with the world established from the original works.
