Fanfics don’t fix anything that’s set in stone. Canon is the only way to be (literally) seen on TV, streaming or film theatres.
 
Besides, did you know people hated Sparity even more after the special?

If Spike either was around the same age as the Mane 6 or didn’t have a crush on Rarity from the start, I wouldn’t hate any Rarity ship.
 
Nor I would make the whole “crush” thing look bad to everyone. Because I think having a crush is not a bad thing, despite the circumstances that said crush won’t reciprocate someone’s feelings.

Well, it got a reboot on Netflix that is well done considering they have the crew from Korra (and two of the writers of this show later worked on MLP) and it’s reaching its climax with the final season coming later this year.
 
Sure, the fans can get crazy, but if you go beyond that, you’ll enjoy the reboot.

It’s more about queerbaiting and DreamWorks controlling the crew to not go far into homosexuality in a kid’s show.

Funny how this situation went from character comparison debate to flame war about the character’s elements and detractors to shipping and now to Voltron.
 
And sad at the same time since I got berated AGAIN! Getting sick and tired of being berated by anyone.

The white guy with an acoustic guitar genre is really overhated and the scrutiny behind it is blown out of proportion. I blame ToddInTheShadows for this.

I know it’s not a popular genre these days but I didn’t realize people hate it. Folk is one of my favorite genres.

It’s been around for a long time and while it isn’t THAT popular now (the most recent song from it to get big was “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur last year), it still draws ire among music critics and fans.
 
Folk is different from that sound. I’m more referring to a white man with an acoustic guitar singing love songs and acting all douchy and pretentious about it.
