It was about Luke giving in to his anger, trying to get his father back, and then he calms down and tells the Emperor to piss off.

Everyone is when talking about something they don’t like. It makes it easier to justify throwing it under the bus. OT fans do it, Prequel fans do it, and Sequel fans do it. And going “well X is easy to dumb down” or any other form of adding fuel to the fire isn’t helping. At all.

Time to get my ass blasted. I don’t really care for pride month. It feels like some people use it more for attention with a song and dance than to enlighten others about issues, and is part of baring their sexualities/transactions from being normalized (though far from the only part, with most of the other ones are trying to eliminate them all together). Enlightening others is one thing, preforming a parade is another.

There is also corporations and their hypocritical BS, but that is another issue that I don’t to merge with some people being a bit too prideful.

Honestly, that’s how I also feel about it in a way. Not just to pride month, but for all the other races like Black History, Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander and so on. It feels less like bringing awareness to these groups and more just to bring forward attention to themselves without really understanding the month, with companies and corporations being the most guilty of this kind of stuff. If you want to show support for these groups, just employ them like everybody else and treat them like average people instead of making a big show about it as if it’s gonna wipe away centuries of oppression and hate crimes.

I wouldn’t include corporations since they tend to do it just for money and will gleefully oppression these groups when the light isn’t on them.

Well they are what contribute to the negative stigma surrounding it. I’m not against pride month or any of those months celebrating races at all and I have no qualms with anyone who sees them as meaningful and celebrate them, it’s that I have an issue with those who gives it a negative reputation and colors the perception of others towards them.

Not sure if that’s actually an unpopular opinion. Majority of people i know just try to dive under the whole rainbow affair. How can anyone expect to be excited for the nth time, even if you want to be supportive in many countries that drum and push it up the most people are already highly aware of the Alphabet people…

Time to tone it down, like a week and also push all the extra days that are spread around the year into that week. Maybe then people can muster up motivation to not be indifferent or be annoyed.

I agree.
& also, I’m not 100% sure if a whole month (along side such things like Black History & others) is even necessary where some others only get a day. Although I’m probably thinking of them being advertised for weeks before the day (of whatever) comes. A day is honestly better & a whole month with no specific day is far too long & is only going to turn most people off of it. It’s just something that’s been on my mind.

I agree strongly about the corporations only being in it for the money.

To me the whole idea of celebrating that has no meaning whatsoever, companies or not. I doubt most people altogether would care for it regardless of the pandering.
I just altogether filtered every pride month picture. And no, I didn’t filtered merely gay or lesbian things, I only filtered pride month, I have some friends with different sexual orientations and I respect and steem them, it’s the whole month thing what I don’t care.

Honestly, I’m not a fan of people typing gay people and lesbians separately. They’re both just gay people, the latter is just restricted to women.

I don’t get the stigma of telling a person with psychological issues it’s all in their head. I can see how it might be other factors involved, but not to the point acknowledging this is a problem the brain must solve in the end is offensive.

And anyway… I can’t say as a straight white man that I like it, that I’m happy that Pride Month falls in my birthday month, only to be considered a [here any insult, which denies a man his masculinity] myself afterwards? WTF? Come on people. It’s 2022, we really should be beyond such BS, shouldn’t we? Uch. I hate ignorance more than anything in life. Except for a life-threatening wound on a hit comrade.

F**k these a-holes. I will never conform to the opinion of others who think they know something about the world, people and the feelings you have as a human individual. Because they don’t. No matter how much they believe they have the higher ground. And I will not change my beliefs, no matter how much I offend conformists. Peace! ;-)

There is nothing wrong with viewing something you dislike from a series as non-canon and refusing to acknowledge it. It’s better that you do that than constantly bringing it up.
