Wouldn’t it be very Sunset shimmer to do something good without expecting a reward, even when people are irritated and dismissive?

A bounce back is good, but life isn’t a collectathon. You can’t 100% it.

You can still be a fan of eqg, you just prob won’t get this particular badge. You can donate to derpibooru and get an EG custom badge. One way or another, rectification demands payment.

I think just asking that question and posting here helped a bit with my FOMO attack.

Another comfort to me is the fact that where I reside, Equestria Girls wasn’t officially released until the 10th of August. I am curious to see what you drew to get your badge as I’ve only seen you draw ponies. I know you can be secretive though so I understand if you wish to keep it a secret.

Old badges do sometimes get renewed, but … maybe I didn’t understand your question? Can you give an example?

Oh, no. No, I can’t think of a case where that’s ever happened before. Wouldn’t really be fair to the people who earned the badge the first time, would it?

Let me go further, if it helps.

It entirely depends on the badge, doesn’t it? Some badges can be used again and again. Others are only given to ONE person EVER. Still more badges are from events that are never going to be repeated. Others are from events that could repeat every 10 years.

The badge you asked about is “Princess of Love - Extra special version for those who participated in the Canterlot Wedding 10th anniversary event by contributing art.” So, maybe at the next 10 years anniversary it could happen again. Or, maybe someone will create an even more amazing badge.

So, maybe it will get reused. But whenever we’ve done something where a past badge might have been reused, we make a new one because artists love to create beautiful badges.

Some badges a way too pretty to not to be envy to the ones who got them when you don’t :D
But the badges is the least thing I miss since I’ve joined community since I’ve joined in 2021 and missed a number of irl conventions.

Yeah, I really miss conventions. I haven’t been to one since before Covid. I really loved doing conventions though. It’s part of why I’m volunteering here - it’s very VERY very much like being on staff at a big fan-run convention.

My first convention was in december 2021. I was pretty scared and felt uncomfortable to be honest x) Like, “I’m the 27 years old bearded guy and I’m in the middle of convention dedicated to MLP? Uhh… Why I here anyway?”.
But after that convention I’ve took participated in every single of them in my town until now. It’s about one per month or so. And I know that they were bigger before, like in 2007 2014 when I even didn’t payed any attention to MLP at all. Despite I was furry all that time since 2011 -_-
I only hope that G5 will bring new members (why do I saying it like I’m not a new one?) to the community as well as bring us new conventions.

It could - I hope it will :) But then there’ll be G6 and G7, etc, etc. This ride has a very, very long history, and given the revenue its bringing in for Hasbro the ride will be here for awhile :)

I hope so! As I understand G5 would be not that long as G4 (can’t compare with G2 and G3: only watched G1 and G4 so far) so I’m already excited to see what the next generations could bring to us.

I thought I’d never go to an one after my no that good expirience with furry conventions. But my internet friends conviced me to participate at least once. (it was like: “Don’t you DARE to not to come! You WILL be here or else!”, haha) Then they’ve become IRL friends after that one :D
