They’re called downvotes.
As for why you’re art is getting votebombed, it’s an issue of quality. The more crudely drawn an image is the higher the chance it’ll be downvoted. It’s unfortunate, but that’s how it is. Now this can be remedied by observing the show’s style, looking at tutorials (such as these for example), and practice.

I’ve always regarded the voting system here as a guideline.
If stuff gets upvoted, it’s what people want to see.
Gets downvoted, either the subject material isn’t approved or your art needs work.
And the only way to improve is practice really.
(Might sound a bit hypocritical there myself though. Only had one pic really bomb out on the votes, and that was down to the subject material. Drew a bunch of characters voiced by Tara Strong, including the big baby from Spirited Away.
It wasn’t liked much.)

Draw something cute and upload it in the middle of a load of other cute pics, it’d get lost in the crowd.
Upload in with a load of questionable artwork and it isn’t what the current viewers want to see, so they’ll ignore it.

Artists can draw how they like. I’m just saying if the quality isn’t up to snuff plus other things folks mentioned, you’re not going to get much positive reactions.

I have several rules when it comes to art:

I’ve since broken those rules and especially right now that I’m asking one important question: was my art style better when it was at Art Style Version 4, 5, or 6, or is it better at Art Style Version 7?
I ask this because I honestly felt like my art style was better when I was anonposting my art. The only reason I changed art styles was due to the snap decision to participate in the 2020 collab and the revelation that Blender Freestyle combined with cel shading closely matched ASV7 and the shading styles adopted back in ASV4-ASV6. (Yes, this is gd_inuk; I’m just anonposting out of fear.)
