Like I said, Humans won’t be able to contract these as it is only for the pigs.
Our only concern about this is our poultry industries are severed by this outbreak. Europe, China and Russia were already going through this earlier.
Also just heard a word from my mom that her relative’s poultry farm is affected by this.

I thought it was stated in the Koran to not translate it from Arabic.
The hadith might have a different attitude or interpretation of how translation should be handled.

Is it so wrong that I have a 1930s German language copy of Mein Kampf that I bought from a neighbour’s yard sale?
I can’t read German…

Anyone here remember when computers came out?
How did we go from a big machine, to something smaller than your pocket?

I have a vague idea. It’s called Moore’s Law. Basically it say that computing power doubles every few years.

Hm. I wasn’t aware this was the case. I will look into this.
Had an actual ban on translation been spotted in the Koran you’d have scholars condemning any sort of translation whatsoever, and you’d have massive amount of translation burning in recorded history. But that hasn’t been the case. Scholars as early as 200 years after Muhammad’s death was already translating the Quran into persian and nearby local languages.
What is stated in the Quran is the following:

What is stated in the Quran is the following:
“Indeed, We have sent it down in arabic that you might understand.”
Context given that Muhammad’s people, whom he was preaching to, spoke arabic. There is a scholarly consensus that “The quran CANNOT be translated from arabic” but the “cannot” is not an imperative. It’s just that the Quran is meant to be enjoyed in its original arabic if at all possible. But it’s not an obligation to know arabic to try and read the quran.
The majority of muslims, like me, know jack sheit about arabic. been learning the quran through translation–which meant lots of lots of cross references, comparative studies and frustration. On the bright side, the prophet has this Hadith:
“A person who recites (the quran) with ease, earns great reward. The person who recites with difficulty, earns double rewards” One for actually reciting the Quran, and another for sincerely trying. NGL I once legit sobbed and broke down when I heard that. I was a bigger crybaby than I currently am. Now I’m just depressed and suicidal, really.

Some jokes may take several years to get tho. Some jokes, even take several years to set up.
like, my life for example. took me twenty years of bad decisions and shitty luck to get to where I am. Whenever I think of it, I feel like I should laugh but I don’t.
