Vent thread

I rarely get calls from telemarketers anymore after I started pissing them off.
 
I’d speak to a live operator and fuck with their head.
 
I’m evil like that.

I just set the phone down next to one of my speakers and put on the loudest music I can think of at the time. After about 10 minutes or so, I pick the phone back up. If the telemarketer is still only the line, they’ve earned my attention.

I find the best solution to back pain is to stub your toe. Then you don’t have back pain any more. Or, you do, but it doesn’t bother you as much as your toe.

My tactic of dealing with pain is by dealing more pain at a different area. That way, the pain in one place lessens since my mind can only handle so much at a time.

Idiot Alantivaxxers are apparently attacking parents whose children have died of illness.
 
Lines of attack contain similar refrains that fringe groups have been using for a few years now.
 
Call them “crisis actors”, accusing them of killing their children for “FEMA” money, saying the children never existed, etc.
 
Folks that engage in this sort of behavior should have their kids taken away and be sterilized. They cannot be trusted around children.

That’s the point. With an aching back it’s hard to get work done. But with an even more aching toe, sometimes it’s easier to get work done.

For example, I have a hangover like none other right now. It feels like there’s a tiny team of Tech Priests trying to drill their way out from inside my skull and the aspirin has yet to do anything whatsoever to alleviate it. Not vomiting though, so that’s a plus.

As an anecdote, this did help someone I knew. The sudden jerk movement reaction to the pain in the toe worked out whatever was going on in the back there.

I’ve got insomnia pretty bad, much like my mother. My medication used to help me fall asleep, but it’s been doing fuck all lately. It helps with the anxiety, like it’s supposed to, but I can’t seem to sleep for shit.
 
Does anybody else around here take Seroquel? Any suggestions on more mundane techniques to better fall asleep? I’ll take whatever advice I can get, honestly.

I have Jury Duty coming soon.
