I don’t know if I’m already late to the party, but I hate the “Despacito 2” memes or anything like it. We get it, Latin is popular now, that doesn’t mean we’re gonna get an exact clone of it.

I feel like I’m going to get a bit of hate for this one, but here goes:
 
I don’t think incest should ever be seen as normal or OK, no matter what. I don’t care if they reproduce or not, or if it’s consensual or not, incest is never OK. I get there’s a lot of incest porn, and while I do frown on it, beating to that isn’t nearly as bad as real life incest.

Troy Denning is a good author who just might be as good as Alan Dean Foster and Timothy Zahn. I wouldn’t mind him taking another whack at Star Wars sometime in the future, be it via writing for a new comic, or a new SW novel.

Haiku’s are annoying. Overly metered poems, while mechanically complex, feel too dry to me. While I certainly appreciate the precision and skill required to craft them, too often those rules become a crutch for weaker writers to lean on. They focus on the mechanics more than the soul, so as to emphasize their competency.
 
Me, I prefer free-verse, especially in the Whitman vein of the “epic” poems.
 
Also, as much as I love his poems, Frost can fuck off with that “free verse is like playing tennis with no net” bullshit. A skilled poet he may have been, didn’t mean his head wasn’t firmly planted in his colon.

Limericks are fun since they tend to be dirty and stupid, so they are rarely dry or pretentious.

I once had a book report in high school that I had to write in the form of a poem. It was my senior year, and I was too busy making sure that I would graduate: so I wrote a ton of haikus.
