85: Boy in a man’s body needs to become a leader and fight Mum-ra. Yeah, he was like 10 before they got to earth, and his stasis chamber made him grow to look around his 20’s.
 
2011: Young Prince needs to become a man and lead the remints of his people to defeat Mum-Ra.
 
2018: It looks like TTG level of story telling.

The “Magic slicing stick” line was a big giveaway.

as an old guy that grew with the original and loved the 2011 remake…  

I didn;t grow up with the original, However i loved the 2011 remake and was sad to see it end on such a huge cliff hanger.  
That said I’m gonna give the action comedy series a chance. It looks like it’s going to be fun and it has a crew that seems to want it succeed behind it.  
I don’t think anything can be like TTG. TTG is such a non show with episodes that have almost nothing to do with the titans to begin with.  
From what I’ve heard of this series it’s very much based on the original series with humor that will most likely reflect thundercats instead of memes. It won’t have the non plots that TTG has, and I can’t really base much opinion aroudn 5 seconds of animation where lion’o calls the sword of omens a “magic slicing stick”  
Also the lion’o promo animation kind of reminded me of starbomb so that was probably unintentional but neat.

This reboot looks pretty bad, who thought it was a good idea to give the Thundercats a makeover with the generic Steven Universe knockoff style? This style could work for a fan animation, but for a professionally done reboot? No, just no.

I just wonder why, if the CN gang wanted to do a reboot, they gave it to someone who said he hated the original series and wants to make fun of it?

I just happened across the new Thundercats…thing.I have no words.I sure hope the new She-Ra cartoon is more of an action-fantasy instead of whatever this is.This new Thundercats doesn’t look awful.I just kept hoping that if Thundercats ever got another reboot/continuation it would stay action-fantasy-sci-fi oriented.

The new cartoon’s idea is to basically,make every character as dumb and annoying as people made Snarf out to be.

Over in the Western Animation thread someone posted a tweet from the guy where he said he hated the original; apparently because his brothers forced him to watch it.

There’s a bit of context to be considered though, he’s likely responding to the people saying that kids will hate the reboot by saying that he didn’t like the original as a kid. Doesn’t mean he hates it now per say.

I suppose Faust couldn’t help herself from designing a Zatanna version that could serve as a Twilight Sparkle expy.

I had only seen the poster, now i have watched the preview and boy… they made Leon-o call the sword of omens “Magic cuting stick”… why? In the other versions leon-o was sometimes inmature but not a fucking idiot
