I was personally singled out and attacked just a few days ago by some nerd in Taiwan. Even after being permabanned, I suspect he’s still trolling me…

Reporting a fact that it was white civilizations that ratified the global bam on slavery and a whote navy that enforced it is not demagoguery.
It is an appropraite thing to point out to counter any notions of cultural guilt.

I meant: “Two wrongs make a right” is a logical fallacy. It’s simply not true.

As for the dark arts…

Stooping down to demagoguery can be effective as a way to personally attack or discredit the other person or his ideas, but will not stop him from using the same - the trick about twisted logic is that it can be used to justify any position - and yet it will not sway the audience to your side of the argument as you’d think their first argument does.

The only valid use mimicking a fallacy may have is to produce brash and insane statements that can be falsely attributed to the offending person, thus discrediting their logic and their statement. However, if you simply repeat the fallacy from a different side (as you’ve done), you’re implicitly validating the other person’s approach, which is little better than agreeing with them outright.

In other words: you lose, even if you don’t know it yet.

If you wish to employ the dark arts properly, you will need to be just as shrewd and two-faced as a professional stage preacher, and much more intelligent. You will need to use every dirty trick in the book to present the other side as absolutely abysmal and insane on every level, using exclusively the same line of reasoning they provided, which may then discredit their logic and, as a bonus, reverse the game board and place them on the defensive. Still, the net result will be that both of your arguments are invalidated, sending you back to zero.

This is an exceptionally hard rhetoric trick reserved for the best and most aggressive of public speakers. As I mentioned above, the price of executing it poorly is little better than admitting defeat.

tl;dr: Coming back with a clever quip might seem like a good idea, but what you’re actually doing is justifying the logic of the statement you were trying to argue against, and opening the doors to further arguments along the same lines.

If you want to do it right, you’ll need to do it very right. To the point of reducing the offender to tears.

It’s just Hasbro bucking the dinosaur trend anyway due to the Age of Extinction/Lost Age movie.

Still lacking in aquatic dinosaurs though (Ichthyosaur, Plesiosaur, Mesosaur), and some others like the Ankylosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Compsognathus (as Mini-con or Arms Micron), etc., but that’s too much to ask.

Someone who acknowledges your existence tends to make for a better caretaker. I think it might be time for a little dispute over legal guardianship.

Yeah, probably. I’m sure in canon they’re the most wonderful, attentive, and loving parents you could hope for, and they treat BOTH their daughters like absolute princesses. I’m sure the fact that we only saw them once and only see Sweetie with Rarity is just a coincidence… But that’s much less interesting.

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for comments with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, comments containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
