We don’t fly the confederate flag, the side that was pro-slavery. Besides, the point still stands regardless of flags. The point is that countries change over time (or quickly). To say otherwise is ridiculous. In fact, it’s downright asinine to hold the USA of today accountable for the culture of the past. Especially when the rest of the world was just as bad at one point, if not worse.

Not voting is always a form of voting– you’re voting for whichever candidate has the most votes. Or, alternately, whichever candidate has a major donor who owns the company that makes the electronic voting machines.

Oh, no you can. In my country we didn’t have decent candidates with any even remote chances of passing in like last 15 years so quite a lot of people got tired of not being able to select anything decent and just stopped voting… doesn’t stop them from keeping track of the situation and criticizing them XD

That’s a stupid thing to say. I know there are people out there who don’t vote because they are lazy or indifferent but sometimes consciously not voting is still a form of voting. If none of the candidates are acceptable you simply don’t vote, because why would you? I’d do exactly the same thing in a situation like this and who gives a buck about people with implanted stereotypical beliefs. You aren’t even bond to tell whom you voted for so discriminating people based on this criteria is downright stupid.
 
If voting rates drop, at least everyone will see that none of the candidates and current political regime are supported and something must be done to prevent further deterioration. If everyone just keeps voting for the lesser of two evils, it will slowly get worse and worse. There will always be a bad candidate and an even worse candidate and it will go on like this lower and lower, so voting for lesser evil never quite works because by doing so you decrease the passing barrier and allow even worse candidates to compete. Believe me, that’s what happened in my country over the years.

I had to watch the CNN GOP Debate for my Political Science class. He was actually my favorite of that bunch.
 
I mean, he’s still an incompetent conservative bigot who should have no right to run a country, but at least he makes me laugh.
