From what I can gather, Fixette commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank is a crystal pony mechanic with a gift for constructing and maintaining crystal-based magical computers. The claws are used to adapt a faster, heavier workload.
 
As well as for holding you down while she snuggles you.
