All three of these 2D animated Hasbro cartoons have featured length films that were animated with 2D visuals and 3D effects and based off on and set during these three tv shows. First comes the Tranformers movie, the G.I. Joe movie, and finally the My Little Pony movie. All three have a pilot episode as a story-arcs splitting up into more than one. Both G.I. Joe and My Little Pony have feature length films that nearly killed off its main/lead character/face of franchise. But the Transformers movie killed off Optimus Prime in the Tranaformers movie but bring him back at the end of season three. Both Transformers and My Little Pony have the final two season two ok place after the movie. Both Transformers and My Little Pony have a three-part series finale. And both Transformers and My Little Pony don’t have sequel series. But the G.I. Joe cartoon does. Except it was animated by DIC instead of Sunbow.

Though to be fair, while both franchises (disregarding generations) have been around for about equally as long, the Transformers fandom stretches back further.

If Friendship is Magic does a crossover with anything, it better be non-canon, unless it’s a crossover with a spinoff of FIM. I’d like to see a Littlest Pet Shop crossover.
@FairJustice
They were the longest running series based on Hasbro property until Friendship is Magic overtook them. I’m not sure if there are any other toy based/merchandise driven shows that have run longer.
Super Sentai? That’s been going on for almost 40 years in Japan.
It’s probably due to flash animation being kinda cheap to do, what with wrangling puppets around instead of old traditional drawings that they’ve kept the property going for so long.

You can’t mention Sentai without bringing up its Western counterpart, Power Rangers, running for over 20 years and counting.

who doesn’t want to see X (where X is MLP character) get blasted by rihanna with a ship mounted cannon?

You could say with Pokemon it did beat One Piece, Simpsons, and Dragon Ball which was my things about it.
I heard they’re going to.
I guess you could count Pokemon.
Does Pokemon count?
