Loved this reference in the new episode.
Fargo is one of my fav films.
So fargopon is best pon
“OK, so we got a trooper pulls someone over, we got a shooting, these folks drive by, there’s a high-speed pursuit, ends here and then this execution-type deal.”
The only thing I could think of whilst seeing this pic…
Margarine?
I mean, that one’s pretty obvious.
I strongly recommend seeing it.
I’ve got mixed feelings about the Coen brothers work, overall, but Fargo is one of their best, even if some of the Minnesotan accents in it verge on parody.
Marge is an amazing character, although I’m not sure her name really lends itself easily to a pony pun. Maybe I should Google for common horse terms in the Norwegian language.
She is a reference character, perhaps you should start from the original character’s name.
(Though even though I was born there, I must admit that I’ve never actually seen that movie.)
How about Minnie? or Woebegon? or, um… well, shit I’ll listen to Prairie Home Companion tonight and try to think of some other stereotypical Minnesota names.
Though it might be a bit odd for a Minnesota style pony to be named after a city in North Dakota.
It was a Minnesotan accent.
Seriously, she was the delegate of Whinnyapolis.
Instead, have an Ole and Lena joke:
Ole and Lena got married. On their honeymoon trip they were nearing Minneapolis when Ole put his hand on Lena’s knee. Giggling, Lena Said, “Ole, you can go farther if ya vant to”… so Ole drove to Duluth.
I completely agree
Fargo’s the best name for her. It’s simple, cute, and fitting for a pony.
And yes, I know it’s the name of the movie.
I don’t know, my friends and I have been her ‘Betcha’.
Get it?
No, that tag refers to the movie she’s from.
“Fargo” seems more widespread.
I believe the rough consensus is Marge, just like the movie. ^^
Well I don’t know. I’m not American. I don’t know if that’s a standard police uniform in that part of the country or not. Don’t got to be so touchy, eh.
And the staff love Coen Brothers movies.
She’s wearing the same outfit, has the same hair, and has the coffee as Marge from Fargo. Figure it out.
Wasn’t sure if this was or wasn’t a Fargo thing.
