I’m pretty sure this character is a mare who happens to have a stallion’s voice, which is a very common practice for fimlamfilosophy’s voicework. Females = males voices, and males = female voices!

Digi for me is pretty neutral now. Thanks to Anthro’s videos talking about him, I see him more as a guy who really was just losing interests and going through some struggle in his life. Granted he didn’t make himself look good (example is his big “FUCK YOU GUYS” rant about how he smokes now), and while being very negative about Season 4, he did confirm in a skype call on YT that he loved Season 4.
 
Kinda surprising if you ask me.
 
And same, I mostly try with Golden Fox and a bit of the others, but I just don’t bother with the Analysis Community.

Actually, you’re right. His reviews still hold pretty strong, and they are worth a chuckle as well as a chin scratch! :D  
Plus, the griffon OC thing? Totes adorbs.

His name’s just “Silver Quill,” not “My Little Silver Quill” (though if you want to get technical, his Deviantart username is “MLP-Silver-Quill”).

Personally, I’ve long stopped caring about the majority of the analysis community since it became torn over season 4. And more specifically, Digibro(ny)’s change in style, followed by his all-but-abandonment of the series. I don’t like overthinking things like episodes, however interesting the points may be.
 
I still fondly remember gibbontake’s reviews, though - he had a great humorous approach to his reviews.

Why do I feel the Analysis Community got a lot of flack for Slice of Life?
 
For me I loved the episode and I know Golden Fox loved it, as did Anthropony.
