Just like fireworks don’t (usually) go off with a few stray sparks. Cranky’s been looking for Matilda for a LONG time, so his love for her burns very hot. If Cadance wasn’t the Alicorn of Love, which gives her and Shining a natural boost, I’d say Cranky and Matilda would have them beat!
