And Gilda’s not quite as much of a dickhead.
This… has now become quite ridiculous.

This is what happens in communism and in an absolutely laissez faire free market, like what america had right before the Great Depression
It’s actually worked both ways throughout history.
The opposite, actually.
What is that… o_O
Hello, Griffonstone! Say hello to your new overlord!
As long as they have baking powder…
And it’s forever.
And forever!
The former, mostly but yes.
unless i misunderstood
you’re saying that initially newly elected officials are hailed as incredible leaders but once the job takes it toll, either they adapt to being good/corrupt or fail to adapt and become incompetent.
basically the more you’re in office the more it takes out of you.
Weird, isn’t it?
They suddenly become incredible leaders before falling as incompetent ones.
Not all of them but you get what I mean.
to be fair, unlike baghdad, griffonstone didn’t lose something that made their place livable (baghdad’s irrigation system was annihilated by the mongols so their farmlands became useless).
still, anyone else notice that people in impoverished towns/cities/nations assume that when someone new is at the helm, everything will be magically be fixed instantly no matter how messed up the situation is?
I’d use that Empire that thought it’d be a good idea to piss of Genghis Khan.
You know, the one that was basically obliterated from the face of the earth in, what, about a year? Despite being roughly the same size as Genghis’ own territory?
but
rome was burnt in a day
seriously, it’s easier to ruin a civilization than building/rebuilding it.
just look at Baghdad when the mongols came
Yep. For example, radioactive Iodine in small quantities causes cancer and in large quantities cures it.
No, I didn’t get it the wrong way round.
Like a broken record.
@Millennial Dan
Everything is poison and nothing is poison. It’s all about the quantity
Also purposely ignoring the glowing FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC subtitles of the show. You guys must be fun to hang around.I persist and sign : allergic to escapism
^ _ ^
I like this post.
Friendship must be a magic, not a “deus ex machina”. Pinkie and Dashi throw a little seed, and now this seed must grown.
Well, at least they can have pride in scones.
