I think it becomes more easily digestible when you consider that some of these events may have occurred more close together than not. So you get some scatter room when you break stuff down into something like Discord-Chrssy, Sombra-Twilicorn, and Tree of Harmony-Tirek.
You could even make the claim (or not, either way; it’s a headcanon) that the invasion of the Changelings could have been an indirect result of Discord. Sort of a “Our target has come under great duress, if there wasn’t a moment before then now is the time to start” deal. But everything else could be indirect circumstance, sort of like 2014.
That’d make plenty of sense: Both the weather and the surrounding obits within the solar system are controlled by ponies (and likely everything else in the rest of the planet concerning weather; Oh, also the Everfree) which makes the only thing that matters the Gregorian calendar, which they use for some reason. XD
It was definitely Winter in Hearth’s Warming Eve and implied to be early Winter (just, without snow and stuff) in Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000, but other than that I think the only snow action we’ve seen has been in the Crystal Empire (which is literally in “The Frozen North”, so it’s hard to pin a calendar on snowfall) and the Nameless Village, which was near the Snow Line in the mountains.
That’s starting to get kinda gross, actually; I really wish they’d let them age up a little.
Applejack was expressing concern over how little time Rarity had to work with before the fashion show was anything more than an idea.
Because they had scheduled the fashion show to display them. Rarity was rushing to finish the dresses before then. “Have to get them all done by tonight.” Since the Gala wasn’t that night, I’m pretty sure they were referencing the show.
As to why they didn’t just reschedule it? [Shrug] Maybe they would have had to pay a fee for cancelling the use of the stage so late. I dunno.
As for the timeline of the show, I don’t see it as too difficult to just accept that the episodes in the first 3 seasons weren’t [for the most part] shown in chronological order. Since S4 marks the 1 years point in the show, it seems easiest to me to just go with that as opposed to trying to come up with some different monthly/seasonal mixing. Especially with examples like Fall Weather friends being just 2 episodes from Winter Wrap-up.
The episodes are actually meant to be played in order as every season has a main story arch.
There is also the possibility of Tank being in the care of Fluttershy for the first year leading to Rainbowdash not knowing about the hibernation. and stretch the seasons out to two and some years.
In that case why did they act like there was such a time crunch for Rarity to make their dresses in Suited for Success?
Since this episode is the third in the season, right after the Summer Sun Celebration and the Gala happened in the last episode of the season, after Winter Wrap Up, yes I really guess they got their tickets very early. Which isn’t that surprising. You can get tickets for such events a very long time in advance.
How do you know winter in Canterlot is winter in Ponyville?
I don’t watch the show sober. I must have missed that part.
They outright said it’s three months in the episode.
Which makes it even harder to determine how long it’s been if the seasons are not reliable because they can be done at any time. I love this show, but it has its faults :)
A season might be a lot longer than three months, or they might go
spring, summer, fall, summer, spring, summer, fall, winter, repeatfor all we know.When Fluttershy was cleaning the library in Ticket Master, Twilight said it summer. So the Gala can’t be in the spring unless they waited well into the next year for it.
It’s a world where seasons and weather are manufactured by its inhabitants. Any time things appear out of order, just assume somebody at the Ministry of Weather Control forgot to carry a 1. :P
