Over time*

It’s the lack of progress that really gets me. Most artists get better over tone, but this guy has found one thing that sort of works for him, and has not deviated from it in anyway. Just MSPAINT and Butch Hartman.

Kind of a dumb thing to say, for so many reasons.

We are judging the quality first and the style second (I’ll explain). The quality of the image is what hasn’t improved in so many years. I may still draw ponies with awkwardly long legs, but the technical side has gotten more and more advanced as time has gone on. This artist, however? Still just using paint, still just recolouring the same body with a slightly altered pose for the arms and head, still could have been drawn by a five year old.
 
Also, an art style can’t be “in its own universe” unless we’re talking about a style that is really iconic to that universe - Sonic and MLP would be good examples. For one thing this style doesn’t look anything like that of Brer Rabbit, but it does look like a really bad attempt at copying the Total Drama series style: Looks 2D, but without the technical quality I mentioned above.
 
Oh, and we can’t be crybabies for stating our opinions unless we’re acting like the dark side of Tumblr, which we aren’t.
