The Moon is bigger than Pluto, plus it’s a damn eccentric orbit. It’s only normal to not consider it like the other planets. And by the way, another dwarf planet, Eris is slightly larger than Pluto.  
Anyway, it’s just a matter of naming.

Pluto is a dwarf planet, a planet is defined as an oject that orbits the sun but is bigger than anything in it’s imediate area, pluto is very close to the kuiper belt and is smaller than many asteroids. therefore not a true planet

Pluto’s a Dwarf Planet now. Along with Ceres, Haumea, Makemake, and Eris. Pluto also has 5 moons now. Charon, Nix, Hydra, P4, and P5.
