Probably not the best head-canon, but I’m sticking to this new angle in EfCE at least. He’s still a pony with mysterious origins. Maybe he’s lacking character because he was conceived by ponies under that curse.

Actually, yes, I could see a handful of standard ponies being caught in the 1000-year curse, mostly guardsmen. :3
Plus, weirder things have happened with interdimensional existentialism. Pony Flash being one thousand and EG Flash being seventeen has been done before in fantasy, I’d imagine. :j
