This proves that realistic ponies would have similar proportions to how they’re drawn in the show.

Actually, I don’t think she rides side saddle. I think she just sits that way when the horse isn’t in motion.
 
Of course, it could be the animators wanted Sunset to face the camera for this scene.

everytime I see this pic im hit by the same thought…….never would have pegged sunset for a side-saddle type of girl, that better fits a lady more…..delicate than she could ever claim to be
