I think he already explained it on one of his earlier pics. Also, there are plenty of reasons to hate any of the mane6. ANYONE. It all just depends on a person and how he interprets their actions.
 
Some might find their downsides insignificant or compensated by positive traits, others will just close their eyes on them having downsides and pretend they are perfect while the last group will just outright hate their guts for something.
 
For example, I hate Rarity for being a bitch but I close my eyes on almost any negative stuff that Twi or RD did. Other ponies are almost completely indifferent to me.
