It wasn’t the store posting the pic. It was just some random semi-famous tumblr fashion blog posting her find, two of her followers getting into a semi-serious debate, and then what should’ve been a small in-joke got MEMe’D ON.
@Poptard
And the store couldn’t be arsed to post a clearer pic. Still less ridiculous than half the tumblr-turmoil nexuses in recent months. Much appreciated. @Dirty Bit
Reality TV makes my eyes itch, much as theoretically I don’t mind either.

Depending on the lighting, a black and blue dress looked white and gold thanks to the angle and closeness. Yes, the actual dress the store stocked was black and blue. However, in the specific picture that was online, the composition was such that the natural variation in everyone’s color vision meant that they didn’t see the exact same color, leading to much argument.
Is Black and Blue

Your Irish? From where? I live in Tipperary, which county are you?

But the way they’re drawn here make them look like leprosy or something.
So the near-sighted leading the blind leading the eyeless. Thanks again.

Then I’ve already explained it in detail.

Well that depends: Are you a fan of Kim Kardashian and shiny dresses?

I somehow missed the tumblr-context behind this meme. Do I want to know?
Look at the good side.
Your Renaissance Fair costume could be really convincing.
That feeling when people on the internet apparently think you have the plague if they looked at you in real life…. ;_;
To their credit, they both look nice
I’d ask for someone to edit them out, but that would be kind of rude.
