My problem with politics in a nutshell.

society only gives you so many weirdness points to spend
 
if you want to push a weird-sounding agenda you have to be highly conformist in all other regards
 
if you want to wear a weird hat, you can’t be pushing any weird agendas or doing any weird things
 
if you want to engage in a weird behavior, you only get one weird behavior, and you have to look normal and conform to a mainstream political faction
 
furthermore, you have to be “normal” with respect to some specific group – if you think critically about both sides of an issue, and find yourself agreeing with parts of both of them, both sides will hate you for not being in complete agreement with them

To be famous, you need a butty like Backy’s.
