No idea, though I don’t think it matters to much.
I never noticed that - but since I always saw Rarity as one of the older of the Mane Six, I suppose I wasn’t too far off.
Question is, did Cheerilee already have her cutie mark at that point?
Can’t relate.
LOL, I was always the complete opposite - at the age of 11 I started secondary school, other new kids came up to me treating like a 6th former (ie. 18yo). By the time I was 16, new kids mistook me for a 30yo teacher. By my early 20s, some people thought I was in my mid-50s. (Thankfully it’s levelled off now, I don’t look any older really than I did when I was 21…but I am fatter. xD)
I’m referring to idea that she’s older than Mac.
I think Cheerilee might be a year or two older than Rarity, she seems a teensy bit more developed physically. Or maybe that’s just how I see it. :)
You tell me! I’m 33, I work in a high school and newbie teachers (some younger than me) ask me what I’m doing running around the halls. I sport a beard ever since, and still sometimes they chide me!
Isn’t she around Rarity’s age, due to her being inn Rarity’s play in the episodes of how the Mane Six got their Cutie Marks?
I dunno about that, I had a crush on my Y7 English teacher, she was nice and quite pretty too…but alas, she was married (and also like double my age, I was 11 and she was in her mid-20s).
And then there was my Y11 biology teacher, she was a really pretty, lovely 21yo student teacher and we were a class of 15yo boys. EVERYONE in the class had a crush on Ms Tibbits that year… xD

You’re probably right. Cheerilee’s just really rockin’ the “hot teacher” thing. I’m sure there’s a few of her students who’d crush on her.
listens as “Love Me Cheerilee” starts playing in his head
Edited
You’d be surprised how young some 30 year old appear irl.
Some of them look like teens even.
Cheerilee’s hair is very long. And that’s Perfect~
=D
Nope sorry, the psychology discussion has moved in, it lives here now. xD (“Discussion in the comments” indeed)
Hmm, I’m not sure it would be right to say that a child displays traits similar to romantic attraction to their opposite-gendered parent(al figure), more so that they’re simply learning the way children always learn - seeing/hearing and copying. That’s just the way in which we learn, it’s the way the young of basically any species learns - watching the parents and imitating their behaviours.
Nothing sexual or romantic at all in that, is there LuminoZero? :)
I’m just warning you of the dangers of quoting his works. Yes, he started psychology, but most of his theories were wrong either in what’s happening or the reasons for it. There should be better terms you can use that won’t have a definition that involves sex.
Yes, we get it, you hate anything Freud ever talked about. You’re a broken record at this point.
Freud wasn’t 100% accurate, but his observations certainly contained a grain of truth most people would rather avoid, that children display traits similar to romantic attraction to their opposite gendered parental figure.

And that’s why this isn’t the Electra Complex, because the complex is all about sexuality. What you’re talking about is more of observation and replicating, instead of anything sexual. That’s the trap with Freud: Everything is related to sex with him.
It’s not obsessive, per say. But have you never seen a child acting “adult-like” in such ways? We tend to call it ‘precocious’, because the child is imitating, but not understanding. It’s like how a child has no real distinction between like and love. Love just means liking somebody a lot.
And we are incapable of recognizing the complex in ourselves. We aren’t aware enough of ourselves to see it at the time it is present, and once we become socially aware enough to know it is inappropriate we basically repress it.
I’ve worked in child care, and it’s something you have to be aware of to really see. Look at how a child acts around their parents and put it into context of how that would appear if they were ten years older. They are attempting to imitate due to lack of conceptual understanding.
It’s not so much a sexual desire as it is:
“People who like each other do this, I like Mom, therefore I do this.”
“Mom pays attention to Dad but then doesn’t pay attention to me. I like when Mom pays attention to me, so Dad is bad/in the way.”
A child’s mind does function off of logic, but they often come to improper conclusions due to their lack of base knowledge.
