North Korea is Best Korea!

Forget The Interview; that’s just a silly comedy that’ll find its way to the public sooner or later anyway, and North Korea’s over-the-top reaction to it says far more about them than the theater chains’ and Sony’s capitulation says about anything. More important is the fact that Pyongyang, based on an animator’s memoirs on helping a North Korean animation studio for several months, has been pulled from development and probably permanently stopped. And far more important is the now-public evidence that the Hollywood studios were collaborating on legal tactics to cripple Google and undermine DNS, all in the name of stopping piracy.
 
Let other people have their James Bond drafts and celebrity gossip; the really juicy stuff is just starting to be reported.

To be fair, Hearst never threatened violence over Citizen Kane. I don’t like that theater owners decided not to show The Interview, but especially after the Aurora theater shooting, I can understand why they felt they couldn’t take the risk.

Even China is getting rather impatient with NK. Besides, they’d probably care more about maintaining their relations with their main capitalistic trading partners than pander to that dead weight NK. NK has little to no economic to China now.

What does “out of the picture” mean to you? What’s the end game of fighting North Korea? Nobody wants them. They’re a disaster like nobody has never seen before. East Germany is still pretty much deadweight on the German economy. North Korea is bad enough to wreck any economy that gets saddled with them.

Why doesn’t the west just kick NK’s ass already? Get this annoying thorn out of the picture. It’s already dragged on for more than half a century. Casualties? I’m afraid that is to be expected. If they keep holding this off, there WILL be even more casualties cumulatively. This has to end somewhere, otherwise they’ll keep being a threat.

This incident is nothing new… Orson Welles, and RKO pictures got threats over “Citizen Kane.” (Ironically, it’s now considered one of the best movies of all time.)

The hacking won’t stop them from making money. If they decide to stop being cowards and release it, they will make lots of money by people who wouldn’t even ever give a shit about a Seth Rogen comedy. My dad actually said he wanted to go see it and a Seth Rogen movie is about the last thing I’d ever expect him to pay money to go watch.
