I actually have been meaning to sit down and read through it all again, actually. I really o enjoy the Tolkien feel of the universe… even if it does become quite apparent just how much influence he had on the backstory (Faust and Father=Eru Iluvatar, Alicorns and Draconequui=Valar and Maiar, Morning Star=Morgoth, Discord=Sauron).

Yes, I know. But some of my interactions give me the impression that he only really accepts one interpretation. He more or less implied I was an idiot for seeing the G3 age of his universe as anything other than a lost utopia.
 
But I guess I’m letting my personal feelings get in the way of viewing the story objectively. After all, he has written many things that contradict he’s stated opinions, like Strife, the embodiment of Growth through Chaos, being portrayed as a positive force. I’m starting to think he was trolling me.

God, I have such mixed about anything Warlorn related. On one hand, early Pony POV is easily some of the best Pony fiction ever written. On the other hand, I’ve had some less than pleasent encounters with him. He is very intense with his opinions, and some of his opinions cast everything he has written in a bad light.
 
Like, were we supposed to root for Nightmare Whisper? Were we supposed to consider her defeat an unfortunate necessity because cruel nature would never allow her Utopia, and not as a legitimate moral victory on the behalf of free will? He has stated many times that he believes that the conflictlezs sugarbowl of G3 is a desirable state of being, and not a horrible stagnation.
 
He legitimately seems to hate the idea of conflict as a necessary force for positive change, believing that an excuse for evil. As an aspiring writer myself, this cast doubt on the legitimacy of anything he writes. Because, as writers of fiction, our entire existence is predicated upon the existence of conflict.
 
… I just had a moral and existential crisis brought on by a fanfiction writer. I need to get out more.

It isn’t just “Nightmare” + Name of the Pony (For example Fluttershy’s Nightmare-Form is called Nightmare Whisper) but since Diamond’s Name hasn’t been revealed yet, she is just know as Nightmare Diamond till now.

It’s actually her Nightmare (hence the Nightmare-Tag) She was turned into this during the Mind Games-Arc by Discord (mind that the Story began before Season 2 even ended so this Discord is still evil and the Nightmare Forces are not the reason behind Nightmare Moon
