Looks like Twilight gets a bit scientific with the portal.

Last time I checked, the mane six not being human wasn’t really stopping anyone from drawing porn of ’em. I find this to be a rather specious argument.
Never called it a problem, just said I didn’t like it was all. Goodness.
You must a seriously misanthropic tw@t to have any real issue with human beings drawing other human beings based on their favorite magical talking candy colored horsies.
And here I always thought it was because bronies love porn and boobs and so they like making the mane 6 and what not into humans because of that.
I still think that.
Not a fan.
Blech. Not my cup o’ tea. But I guess I’m in “the minority”.
My guess is that the characterization of the mane 6 from the start has been strong, and artists were curious how these characters would work out as humans. Add that Equestria is not like a normal human world (as is, say, the case with Littlest Pet Shop) and so seeing these characters interact in a contemporary setting is a fun thought activity.
(According to Katie Cook, she said that EQG is in part because Hasbro saw the humanized fan art that was being made and recognized how well the characters still worked as humans. Of course, there’s also the Monster High competition factor to consider as well).
I wonder why that is. What is with this fandom and turning animals into humans? There’s not a single other group that I can think of off the top of my head that does that.
Well… sure, but that’s the entire point of the series, you realize. Which is why both films (and likely any future ones) revolve around things from Equestria invading Canterlot High somehow.
And your effect will be, like, zero. BTW, the people who don’t like humanized are minority.
Slightly unrelated toughts, everytime something interesting happened in Monster High Rip Off world,it came from Pony Equestria (Sunset Shimmer,The Adagios).Without Equestria,Canterlot High is dull as shit
>the hate EQG gets
Is completely deserved. Taking the pony out of My Little Pony is just wrong. I don’t like humanized fanart either, for the record, no matter the quality.
Ponies as ponies. That’s what I choose to support and if I can get people to stop supporting and extending the life of EQG, I’m going to do so.
Yeah, basically this.
You know, I’m not crazy about Twilight finding a way to force herself back into the story like this, but some people here have made some good points about how it may be set up and why it actually works much better than certain things in the show. Twilight having to put some effort into getting back to Humanland is a step in the right direction, but I still wish she wouldn’t dominate the spotlight whenever anything important happens to be going on.
Regardless, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; the hate EqG gets is over the top. If this movie is as enjoyable as the first, I’ll be satisfied, and if it’s better, I’ll be thrilled.
Maybe it’s because IT IS a Monster High rip off that suck
I was talking about the comments they’ve made.
Even though there’s people who like the arc, they still made ongoing drama behind it.
I dunno, I kind of liked the Reflections arc.
Never ever mix this scene’s canon with the comic’s canon. You’re just only bringing back that Reflections arc nightmare just for the sake of politically correct headcanons. She only made a slight tweak on that mirror from before just for re-entry.
This is My Little Stargate, not Reflections II!
and sorry… comics are non-canon for me
Youtube comments are typically cesspools of rage and bitching, but this one made me laugh.
SCIENCE!
Yes, your ass isn’t as canon as the comics, but the show supersedes all. Especially since the show hasn’t referenced the comics.
When the show does, it’s all fair game. But its still on a separate level at this time.
Well I never implied my original comment wasn’t a fan theory. It is speculation about something that isn’t even out yet, it can’t be anything but a theory for that reason.
And if there are “levels” like you say, than surely the comics are more canon than my ass, so looking at how everything fits together would be less of a fallacy then immediately disregarding the comics and resorting to pure headcanons.
I’m saying the events of the comics, movies, books and other extra material are never interwoven into the show.
The show comes first above all else (the 6 Star Wars films), followed by everything else (supplemental/extra/non-required material). And because the show HASN’T used any material from the extra stuff, using the extra stuff in an argument is a fallacy. Even the movies haven’t referenced the comics.
Once the SHOW and/or the movies reference supplementary material, THEN you can use those as excuses for filling in plotholes. Otherwise, it’s just fan theory.
You told me about Star Wars canon, and when I looked it up it was all concerning official statements about the franchise from editors, writers, and execs…
How is canon a fan-term in this case? Unless you are seriously suggesting that the people who create these works are merely fans and their opinions are less important than those of the great and powerful Background Pony #9ECC. Because if your are I think your head might be on backwards.
Except, again, canon is a fan term. And the show, again, hasn’t referenced the comics and won’t likely do so. Just like the early reader books aren’t ever referenced in the show.
The comics, EQG. Its all SUPPLEMENTARY. Extra. It’s not a part of the SHOW. That’s what I’m getting at here. You can file it away in a completely separate folder in the same drawer marked “My Little Pony” but they’re not interwoven. The comics reference the show, the show doesn’t reference the comics. Different people, different writers, same ponies, same world. And the only thing holding the comics to the franchise is a flimsy seal of a TOY COMPANY.
