His birth name was Quill (notice his cutie mark), and his original job was reading, writing and chronicling Equestrian history for the grand library in Canterlot. Poisoned Soul is actually a name he took upon himself (based on something Chrysalis said to him) after he was transformed by Chrissy, after swearing to be her loyal servant.
In my OC’s story, Poisoned Soul doesn’t get that close to Chrissy until later in his story. Over years, he sort of rises in rank until finally becoming her personal guard and ultimately her king.

Hehe >w< However, in my actual story, PS doesn’t actually get the privilege of even guarding Chrissy’s chambers until later in his life, when he is promoted to her personal guard :)
