Description

I didn’t realize how hard it was to draw bipedal ponies. And of course, I’ve never actually drawn anything that resembled a fight, so I had to fine tune my angles to get the fencing to look decent.

Man, forgot I actually drew this. Time flies.

Anyway, this was originally just an inside joke I wrote for a story series that is now dead and deleted and probably not coming back. TL;DR, Velvet was Flash’s mentor. The idea behind this image was basically just a “need to test you to see if you’re worthy of my daughter”.

I coulda gone with classical fencing but two things: 1) this picture has context with a fanfic (which is the reason for the chosen characters) and 2) I think competitive fencing is more recognizable. Still fun to draw though.
