“more study”: one has spent most of her life studying and has read thousands of books. The other can’t solve a basic geometry problem.
“more experience”: one has defeated Nightmare Moon, an Ursa Minor, the god of Chaos, dozens of changelings, and Sunset Shimmer. The other beat the Dazzlings at a singing contest.
“less self-restraint”: this one is debatable depending on what you mean, but one is known to have a somewhat short fuse, loses her mind for the most trivial things, and has literally tried to murder Tirek. The other, well… “take my hand!”.
