I’m glad I’m not the only one who remembers Baldurs Gate. That game has a special place in my gaming heart.

I just had a crazy thought…
 
Despite being learned, wouldn’t unicorn magic be more like spell-like abilities or invocations than actual spells? There are no material or verbal components, simply the concentration required to weave the spell together. On a similar note, unicorn magic doesn’t seem to have a limit on how often it can be used based on reserves of magic, so much as it seems to be based on the unicorn’s personal ability to will it into being, with harder spells being physically taxing.

Nah, Mane 6 and Spike, only. Though, I may add Trixie in as a love interest. Haven’t decided on that, yet, though it will have a ship in it.

Bard, Rogue, Wizard, Paladin, Fighter, Druid.
 
Nice party makeup. They’d do well, even without a full Cleric. The Paladin, Bard, Druid and even the Rogue can pitch in to help with that.
 
So is Spike Twilight’s familiar? Or is he the Cleric?

This is cool. I’m actually in the planning stage of writing a humanised Mane 6 D&D style fic using almost exactly this lineup, except I’m going to make RD the Rogue and Rarity a Cleric. Gotta finish my TaviScratch fic first, though, before I start writing that.

It looked like a fun game, but then they ran out of mountain dew…
