Correction, I mean Mortal Kombat 9 due to that game having a storyline where Raiden realises he has to change the future or else the same events will occur.

SERIOUSLY PEOPLE, SOMEONE WRITE THIS! It could be like X-Men Days Of Future Past but with ponies instead :D
Or, you can twist the ending even more by making the story turn out to be another vision somepony is seeing through the book. Meaning the events have not occurred yet, but very well could happen if, or so it seems, Twilight is left alone to commit these atrocities.
The story could then end with this other pony removing Twilight from the equation by killing or destroying her. Or, the pony could realise that the book wants this to happen, and is threatening a very bleak and accurate future if Twilight is not killed. But the only way way to guarantee Twilight will not do these things without murdering her is for somepony else to take her place instead. So this other pony makes the decision to deliberately set themselves up as a powerful villain that wants to do what this book said Twilight would do, only to be defeated by Twilight and her friends.
Because this pony became the monster Twilight was supposed to become, Twilight was unwittingly forced onto the path to become a hero with her friends, guaranteeing that she would never become a psychotic despot. The book is rendered wrong, null and void, and either self-destructs due to being beaten at it’s own game, or is wisely destroyed by the other pony shortly after they decide to become a villain.
You know, I’m surprised that hasn’t become a fanfic (Spoiled because of grimdark violence):
|| A few days before “The Ticket Master” S1 Twilight would find and use a hidden book of dark magic to see into the future to find out what becomes of her. She sees all these tragic events and starts to lose her sanity, not wanting something like that to occur. Soon the power of the book overwhelms her.
She would usurp the thrones of Princess Celestia & Luna with her new dark magic powers and make a vow to never let those events come to pass…by starting a new and strict order.
First she would use her dark powers to break Discord into little rock pellets so he would never bring chaos to the world again. Then she would locate and burn down the changeling hives scattered across the land (Since I doubt Chrysalis’s group was the only one).
She would then bring The Crystal Empire back, violently kill Sombra and take the population as servants (Basically replacing one dictator with another).
She then goes to Tartarus and brutally dismembers Tirek one body part at a time. The power of the book was making her into a psychotic and violent overlord.
Eventually our heroes would overcome Twilight and restore her back into her normal self. We, and the characters, would then find out that the book really did give her the visions that happened but altered them (By that, I mean all the good bits of her upcoming life being removed from the flash forward). They destory it so nothing like this ever occurs again. ||

I think it was cold because we saw it for all of, like, 5 seconds, and even then all we saw was a big room with thrones. I’m gonna assume that there will be decorating, a nice bedroom, books books books books books, all that stuff coming in Season 5.
