also, doesn’t Celestia look too small to you guys? she sure does to me! :-/
THE DUANE!
I like them. :3
Then why are you white knighting it? Surely if they are so high and mighty they don’t need you guarding them.
We are getting old very fast
I don’t remember, but while Lost Levels was good, (regardless of being the hardest Mario game ever) SMB2 was still a good game, and one of my childhood favorites. (And the first game I ever beat as a child.) Even with the differences, the “pick-up, and throw” gimmick (also used for Mario in DK’94, and the Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers game) was quite fun.
Regardless of some of the flack it gets for “not being a real Mario game,” and such, or it’s controversial ending sequence, (Which was still better then most other NES game endings at the time, I felt.) it’s still a good game, and gave us “Shy Guys,” and such to the Mario series.
Surprisingly, Shigeru Miyamoto came out, and said SMB2 was one of his favorite Mario games. (In fact, Miyamoto made “Dream Factory: Doki Doki Panic” the game the USA version of SMB2 was based on originally.) He also talked about making the game in an interview back during the “SMB 25th anniversary.” So Miyamoto accepts the game.
I don’t think he said it was harder, just shitter and he gave the American version needless hate for being different. I don’t think he commented on the difficulty at all. :P
@Background Pony #888E
I care about him because he’s funny as fuck. XD
Indeed, wasn’t that the guy who said SMB2/USA was hard then “Lost Levels?” (Which of course, isn’t true.)
I was doing my Irate Gamer impression, though. He hates all endings of NES games because he has unreasonable expectations. :P
Actually, Kid Icarus was one of the “better” endings.
@Beau Skunky
That’s it?! All my hard work and all I get is this shit?! WHAT A SHITLOAD OF FUCK!!!!!!
Ah, old-school game endings.
I think it is. Mike was joking and Cinemassacre is relevant. :3
I don’t think that’s exactly a good counterargument to Ebalosus’s comment.
AVGN isn’t relevant? What are you on? He’s working on a freaking movie that he kickstarted successfully.
Yeah. :P
It was a joke and nobody gives a shit what you personally deem relevant because their videos all consistently get millions of views. :3
What are those sources?
Haters in a nutshell.
