I theorized that the Cutie Marks above are only on their Wonderbolt suits and they mark their positions in the ranks.

Uh I just think about the implication of this, if the Saddle Arabians are the “prince and princess” of their Arabian region, and the Yzma and Gilgamesh ponies are the other “prince and princess” of their respective region…
 
Does that means Prince Blueblood is the legal de Jure ruler of Canterlot / Urban Equestrian region? Just like what happened in HRE?
 
That means Princess Celestia are the “Emperor”, and the others are “Princes” who rule over their own princedom.
 
(just my weird ideas over too much looking about HRE history)

So I guess Gilgamesh and Yzma pony are together.

I headcanon that ponies that undergo midlife crises can get new cutie marks. In this case, Blueblood did that and went exactly to what he did before, hilariously.

You know, if the unicorn sitting next to Blueblood is his wife, his reaction to Rarity’s shmoozy approach during the Grand Galloping Gala is actually rather understandable.
