Schlemmer in the cooler!
Same, but I kinda fear they’ll just have the game characters, seeing how Sega said they want to take the comics in a “different direction.”
I mean I like the game characters, (and how Archie fleshed ‘em out more) but I like how the Archie series had more variety, and freedom with it’s cast, by having not only the SatA.M. characters, but also ones from AoStH, (even a redesigned Prof. Von Schlemmer, an obscure yet amusing one) and brand new original characters of it’s own.
Sega announced it on Twitter.
I think they were talking about on other images/forums on this site. Sources confirm this was announced a month ago.
Where did that news come from about IDW taking over?
Edited
Figures.
Apparently, they aren’t, (and issue 290 will be the last Archie issue) and IDW is just going to do their own reboot.
Sense Ian & the others are freelance, (and don’t work exclusively to Archie) I’m curious if any of ’em will come back on the new series.
Better an ending than no ending, eh?
I just hope they get Flynn to finish off the Archie story before starting anew. Or alongside the new continuity. As long as I get closure.
I hope IDW manages to treat the series well.
They’re dressed like Sonic SatA.M. characters. AJ is dressed like Bunnie Rabbot.
I liked that episode. Hehe
Some do, yeah.
Yeah, though technically, the first Sonic game came out in 1991. 2 years after the Sega Genesis/Megadrive first came out.
And thus it’d be appropriate for the 1993rd to reference that.
Now if only we could get the 1984th Transformers pic to reference their first appearance somehow…
That was the year the original 2 Sonic TV shows, and comic book series started. Sonic was hugely popular in the 1992-1995 period. (Then the Sega Saturn came out, and the Sonic games kinda slowed down coming out, therefore taking him out of the pop-culture spotlight for awhile.)
Regardless, he sure has a cult-following that continues to this day.
lol true.
Also, I find it extremely appropriate this picture is the 1993’rd sonic picture.
