I think the show establishes that Discord is the most naturally powerful(he doesn’t need artefacts or to steal other peoples’ magic) of all the characters in the show and can warp reality to his very will, moving the sun like that doesn’t seem to be above his abilities, so yes, beavernator got it wrong
