They actually dropped his “old name” in the intro for the adventure mode in “Mario & Sonic at the London Olympics” for 3DS. Bowser actually refers to himself as “King Koopa” during it. I like li’l nods like that.

Kinda funny Robotnik now goes by his Japanese name, (“Eggman”) while it was the opposite case for Bowser/Koopa in America.
 
Yeah, sometimes the 2003 TMNT series didn’t balance the comedy, and seriousness well, (most of the comedy seemed to come from Michelangelo) but I still enjoyed it.  
I actually liked the 2003 Baxter though, he was more based on the original Mirage comics one, and had more character then the white one from the old cartoon. I kinda liked how in some ways even tried to betray the Shredder, making him kinda like the Starscream of TMNT. What I like about Baxter is, while he’s a villain, sometimes I feel a li’l sorry for him, as well. (Whether being reduced to a cyborg, or mutant fly, he always seems to have alot of bad luck no matter what canon he’s in.) “Insane in the Membrane” (the banned episode) did a good job on letting the viewer get in Baxter’s head more. (Even as he was going insane due to his new body getting messed-up.) Though, it didn’t shed much light on why he turned evil. (As his Mother was a very nice lady, and such when he was a child in the flashbacks.)
 
The new Nick/2012 Baxter seems to be a mix of the ‘87 one, and the 2003 one in some ways. (And with the Mirage one’s mustache.) Which works quite well.
 
They actually did bring back Irma in the new Nick TMNT show. (In the newest episode.) She has purple hair now.
 
The Neutrinos also actually returned in the IDW TMNT comics, only they aren’t goofy, or annoying anymore.

Well, Bowser IS King to the Koopas, so it isn’t inaccurate.

@Beau Skunky Ah, Well for those either way is ok, and I like how their parent companies basically combined the two, in Bowser’s case they simply made it his last name, in Robotnik’s case, he took an insult leveraged at him and embraced it as a nickname.
 
Didn’t like the 2003 TMNT, more for how they handled Shredder than lack of goofiness. It was more like they streamlined the episodes so instead of having a mix of goofy and serious, it was all one way or the other. Didn’t like Baxter and Shredder but everything else was alright. And thank goodness for no Neutrinos! Oh yeah, didn’t care much for new April either, but then that’s a really tough act to follow. Wish they’d brought Irma back somehow though, they didn’t seem to bring her back in the eps I saw.

Regardless of claiming “bronies ruined G4,” she still follows the G4 show, posts screenshots, and memes of it on her blog, has said good things about it before, knows alot about it, buys merch’ of it, buys the toys, and even draws G4 ‘shipper fanart.  
So even though she prefers the older generations, she still likes G4. Just not as much, sense her childhood/nostalgia kinda blinds her, and because she doesn’t like how dudes like it now.
 
This is why try not to let nostalgia blind me to new versions of things I liked as a kid, like TMNT. Alot of my friends hated the 2003 TMNT show sense it wasn’t as goofy/campy as the ‘90s one, but I still liked it, and feel it did a good job adapting stories/characters from the original Mirage TMNT, while having some new things mixed in to. (Shame it neglected the Rat King/“I Monster” though… Would’ve liked to of seen more of him.)
 
I tend to see some prev-Gen’ fans who like to hate on G4, or G4-fans for “bashing” previous gens, and such. But some just seem to use that as an excuse to hate as much as the people they claim to be against.

Eh, not all “ditzy” characters were that bad. I like “Ditzy-Doo” partially ‘cause it’s a nice call-back to the “Winter Wrap-up” episode. Plus it’s not like either name is all that “flattering,” seeing as how “derp” means clumbsyness basically. Which also fits, seeing as she was possibly an animation error, or an easter-egg a mischevious animator added.  
(Though, I like both names, so I use both. Heck, I still call Bowser “King Koopa” sometimes, and Eggman “Robotnik” sometimes to.)

@Beau Skunky PP isn’t actually. She vastly prefers g3. And Yamino wasn’t really a brony either, vastly preferring G1. Seems the biggest troublemakers/proponents are prev-gen fans that think G4 is “Stealing their fandom” and “drawing Hasbro’s attention away from us” like when they exploded over the SDCC pony being Derpy.
 
also eh, I’m pretty much against ditzy as a name in general because of the 90s. All the ‘ditzes’ in both anime and live-action high school shows were all pretty nasty people.

Some were, but oddly, alot of MLP:FiM fans on Tumblr love to bash bronies. (Even when they basically are ones.) I keep seeing people like P.P., and Ponett who are like, “I watch the show, collect the toys, make fan-games, and/or such, but I’m not a brony! Bronies are evil/sexist/racist/bullies/(insert something else bad here)! Down with bronies!”
 
I don’t understand that mentality honestly. (And not just on Tumblr, but some on DeviantArt, and pony sites act like that to. Somebody even made a DA stamp reading, “Be a fan, not a brony.”)  
I mean you don’t have to call yourself a “brony” to be a fan of MLP:FiM, but to act self-righteous, and superior because of that is silly/petty.

But we’re not talking about fan drama. We’re talking about tumblr drama (and confirmed by Amy in the link). Fan drama doesn’t get stuff censored, or alicorn Twilight and Equestria Girls would never have happened. Tumblr drama and manipulation does gets things censored, and it has nothing to do with the fans of the show.

Yes, but you don’t seem to understand, it’s not just the SJWs, they can’t use Derpy at all now, even if they want to, because the show’s makers, DHX, HUB, and Hasbro apparently think it means “retarded,” and don’t want to get in trouble for using it apparently. I already posted a link below of Amy Keaton Rogers explaining why they edited the Derpy scene, and such.  
I’m not saying it does, but apparently, nothing we can do to change things now. I suppose one good thing about it is, she can be “Derpy,” or “Ditzy” if fans prefer.
 
Also, funny thing is, according to Amy (in that link) in the original script she wrote for “The Last Round-up” they were originally going to call the character “Ditzy,” but changed it to “Derpy” as a fandom-nod.  
Of course, even if they left it as “Ditzy,” as I said fans would’ve gotten upset that she wasn’t called “Derpy,” so there still would’ve been tons of fan-drama over the name, no matter what they called her unfortunately.
 
Still, they did canonize alot of other fanon names surprisingly.

I am fed up of Derpy. She should go back to being a rare cameo.

You misunderstand. There are fans who prefer calling her Ditzy (a rather insignificant portion compared to those who prefer Derpy), but those fans won’t cause any serious ruckus if Derpy was called Derpy on the show.
 
The only people who have a serious problem with that are the indoctrinated SJW brigade who thinks everything is ableism, and we shouldn’t be listening to people like that in the first place.

I think that’s ‘cause they never heard the term “derp” much before, and such. Unfortunately, a few internet descriptions like “Urban Dictionary” and such say it means “retarded,” (I never considered it as such personally, and I’m aware many others feel the same) which is what lead to the “unfortunate implications.”
 
I think you kinda misunderstand me though. My only point with the “Derpy VS Ditzy” thing is, regardless what name they call her, one set of fans would be upset no matter what. So they pretty much have no choice, but to leave her nameless.
 
Still, it’s unfair of people to assume if somebody prefers the name “Ditzy,” they’re some kinda politically-correct Tumblr SJW, or “Derpy-hater.”  
I like both names just fine, but I do kinda prefer “Ditzy,” I admit. Yet, I always speak out against the hateful overly-sensative SJW crowd personally.
 
I guess we should just be thankful the Derpster is here to stay. Name, or no name, voice, or no voice.

Thing is. No one had an issue with the term derp before a few people on tumblr decided to claim it meant “retarded” (a few people in particular were especially outspoken about this). As with everything social justice it stuck and now there is no way to get rid of it anymore.
 
If Hasbro had decided to call Derpy Ditzy or something else in the show BEFORE tumblr went batshit there wouldn’t have been more of an issue than when any of the other background ponies got non-fanon names. But now calling her anything else than Derpy means that they caved in to the angry trolls on tumblr, which none of us wants.

Well, I have seen some people give others crap if they use the name “Ditzy-Doo” to, or always saying, “it’s either Derpy, or no name” so I really see no difference. Some hate the name “Derpy,” and some hate the name “Ditzy.” There’s nothing else to name her, besides “Bubbles,” but that name was never as popular as Derpy, or even Ditzy.
 
Though, I think the immature fans on both sides are a “minority.” Unfortunately, though they’re more outspoken, and louder then the majority who don’t care about the things they do, or the things they’re “offended” by. So they pretty much screw up everything for everyone else.

Thanks. I’ve been following this story since it started and made images showing what people really think about Derpy. This issue is near to my heart since I’m cross eyed just like Derpy, and I can’t STAND BEING TALKED OVER.
 
Honestly, the people who prefer to call her Ditzy is in a minority, and even that isn’t good enough for the SJWs since all they need to do is Claim Ditzy is offensive as well . Let’s not put fans of Derpy on the same level as these perpetually offended crazies. Bronies may be upset that their headcanon is ruined, but these crazies will go out of their way to get something banned or censored.
